Welcome to our project

We take used cycles and make them new with people who want a new start in life. We give new life to communities by offering affordable servicing, repair and sales as well as giving cycles to organisations or individuals who without us wouldn't be able to enjoy or experience the world of cycling.

See a Bike You Like?

The bikes on this website are for sale, however at the moment we do not take payments through the site, so if you see a bike you like you can reserve it for 2 of our working days.

What do you mean 'your working days'?

We are only open on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. So if you reserve a bike on Sunday we will keep it for you until the end of our 2nd working day which will be Wednesday.

How to Reserve a Bike

Just add it to your basket and follow the reserving process. It will look like you are buying it but will end up just being reserved.

Then you are assured the bike will be reserved for you. Just call in when we are open and make your payment in cash please.

New Life Cycles is a newly formed social enterprise

that has created a cycle workshop that supports people with an offending history in their journey of rehabilitation. The aim of the project is to reduce the risk of re-offending and help to restore lives and contribute to the community.

The cycle workshop provides a structured and controlled environment where participants can experience a working environment where skills are learnt, fostering a routine of work and working alongside others which provides a valuable gateway to further training or employment. Working with local agencies, Probation, Police and other community and service providers, participants will gain an understanding of service to the community, repairing bicycles, opportunities for apprenticeships or work experience with local retailers, while learning valuable integration skills where they can positively contribute to community life. The workshop also offers residents the opportunity to gain accredited qualifications to become self-sufficient, moving from benefits into employment.

New Life Cycles is part of Langley House Trust, a Christian charity founded in 1958 to transform the lives of men and women coming out of prison. Langley House Trust supports over 750 male and female ex-offenders every year, each one having a different story, faith and background, with different barriers to full rehabilitation in the community. Through accommodation based support we help these individual overcome addictions, manage mental health, gain qualifications and increase their self-worth.

We are a forward-thinking responsive charity,

committed to meeting need where it is greatest in Criminal Justice. We support people to establish positive foundations to lead crime-free lives and become contributors to society. Our vision is of a crime-free society where no-one is unfairly disadvantages or excluded because of their past. We achieve this through: accommodation-based support (e.g. hostels, houses, private rented sector accommodation, and registered care homes); comprehensive rehabilitation and personal development programs; education and vocational training; move-on support; in prison visiting; and developing and maintaining key strategic partnerships throughout England. We have two sites and 6 fully equipped workstations professionally kitted out with tools that are just crying out for people like you to work alongside our Cytech mechanics.

Have you a couple of hours a month that you could learn or share your skill and have a great time mending and repairing cycles as well as encouraging people to make the most of their skills. No experience necessary just a passion for bikes and a motivation to see change in your community.

Donate a bike

We need your old cycles

We can't do all the good we want to do without your donations, It doesn't matter if it is old or new, rusty or pristine we can give it new life. Please don't take it to the tip where it will become landfill or worse dumped in a hedge or canal. Bring it to us or if that's not convenient we will come to you.

Your donation will be restored or used for parts, which will either be sold or given to a person who without your generosity could not experience the cycling community.

Just Check

Please check if the bike is registered with Bike register, and if it is please transfer ownership to New Life Cycles.
